At Optomech, we design and build machine vision inspection systems that work where it matters most — on production lines running at full speed, under real industrial conditions.
Why We Exist
Most inspection systems look impressive when demonstrated in controlled conditions. The real test is what happens on an actual production floor — with ambient light variation, line vibration, product-to-product inconsistency, and operators who have ten other responsibilities.
Inconsistent lighting. Mechanical vibration. Product variation. Operator dependency. These are daily realities that typical systems are simply not built to handle.
Optomech was built to bridge this gap. Our foundation is precision optics and metrology — fields where measurement accuracy is non-negotiable. Over years of working on actual production lines, we evolved that expertise into inspection systems designed for what manufacturing really looks like.
We set out to create systems that are not just technically sound, but practically reliable — systems that deliver consistent performance shift after shift, without becoming a burden on the production team.
Lighting conditions change between day and night shifts, seasons, and facility areas. Our systems are calibrated for it.
At 8,000–10,000 bottles per hour, mechanical vibration is constant. Our camera mounts and shutter settings are designed for this reality.
Normal variation in colour, gloss, and surface texture is not a defect. Our trained inspection models distinguish the two.
A system is only as reliable as the team that runs it. We train operators to be fully self-sufficient — not dependent on constant vendor calls.
What We Believe
These are not values on a wall. They are the design decisions we make on every project.
A missed defect is costly — but so is a false reject. Both have real consequences: customer returns on one side, rejected good product on the other. We design for both.
Operators should run the system confidently without constant engineering support. If they can't, the system has failed — regardless of how technically impressive it is on paper.
A system that works 95% perfectly every day — across shifts, seasons, and SKU changes — is more valuable than one that peaks at 100% and drifts on challenging days.
A vision system is only as reliable as the team behind it. Deployment, training, and long-term support are not afterthoughts — they are core to what we deliver.
Built Through Experience
Optomech's foundation lies in precision optics and metrology — fields where measurement accuracy and system reliability are not optional. This background shaped everything: how we design optical setups, how we think about calibration, and how we approach quality control as a discipline.
Over time, this expertise evolved into designing and manufacturing advanced vision-based inspection systems for industrial applications — bringing measurement-grade precision to high-speed production environments.
Each application has brought its own challenges: different materials, production speeds, defect types, and regulatory environments. This experience is what shapes how we design today: practical, adaptable, production-ready systems that have been tested against real-world conditions.
Our Inspection Systems
How We Build
From system design to final integration, every Optomech inspection system is developed and built in-house at our Hyderabad facility. This is not a small detail — it is fundamental to how we deliver reliability.
When we control the full build, we can customise it for your conditions, support it with full knowledge of how it works, and adapt it when your production changes. You are not dependent on a component supplier's update cycle.
Structural integration designed for your conveyor and line layout
Camera positioning, lens selection, lighting design — configured for your product
Our own algorithms and trained reference libraries — not off-the-shelf
Full testing before despatch; commissioning and validation on your line
Results from the Field
These are not estimates. They are documented outcomes from Optomech installations across India.
A Silvassa FMCG bottle manufacturer eliminated ₹28.4 lakh in annual customer returns — down to zero NCRs in the first 14 months after BIS installation.
Nutraceutical brand achieved 99.97% verified seal integrity after ISIVS deployment, replacing manual audit sampling that missed hidden seal failures.
Injectable drug manufacturer achieved 21 CFR Part 11 compliance on flip-off seal inspection — replacing manual visual inspection with full audit trail.
How We Work
We do not have a one-size catalogue. Each system engagement begins with understanding your specific product, defect types, line speed, and environment — and is designed from there.
We start by understanding your product in detail — the material, geometry, defect types you need to catch, production speed, and the environment the machine will operate in. This shapes everything that follows.
We match the right inspection approach to your real-world conditions — camera positioning, lighting type, inspection algorithm — not a pre-packaged configuration.
The system is built in-house and validated against your actual product samples before it leaves our facility. You receive a system that has already been tested on your product.
On-site installation, full camera calibration, and SKU library build using your production products. Average: 6 days from installation to production-ready.
A structured 2–3 day training programme for operators and QA supervisors — covering daily operation, alarm interpretation, SKU teaching, and compliance report generation.
AMC, remote diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and upgrades — direct engineer access when you need it. Not a ticketing system.
Where We're Heading
Manufacturing is moving toward smarter, more data-driven quality control. At Optomech, we are actively working toward inspection systems that do more than pass or fail — systems that improve, learn, and support decision-making on the production line.
Our goal is to move from reactive inspection toward proactive quality intelligence — giving manufacturers the visibility to prevent defects, not just detect them after the fact.
Trained models that improve over time using your production data — better precision, fewer false rejects as the system learns your product variation.
Not just pass/fail — distinguishing critical defects from borderline variation with greater accuracy, reducing unnecessary waste.
Connecting inspection data to batch records, ERP systems, and quality dashboards — giving QA teams a real-time view of production quality trends.
Trend analysis and predictive alerts — identifying process drift before it becomes a defect event, keeping lines running cleanly.
